About Us
We founded ZUsammenKUNFT Berlin eG out of the core group of the Haus der Statistik initiative. To this day, we represent its interests as well as the needs of civil society in relation to the Haus der Statistik model project.
To turn the initiative’s demands into built reality, ZKB eG developed the operating model: in coordination with the State of Berlin and the other cooperation partners in the model project, a non-profit developer and operating cooperatives were founded through this process.
Together with the Commons Foundation, currently in formation, they form a solid foundation for physically realizing the spaces and securing them long-term against market-driven exploitation.
Partly cooperation partner, partly planner, partly translator between the different levels of neighborhood development – we take on different roles in the process in order to initiate and accompany local negotiation processes.
ZKB eG will remain on site until the initiative’s goals are transferred into a long-term, robust legal and financial structure.
